Hawaiian days

I went to Hawaii with my friend last year.It was the first time to visit Hawaii. 
The sea was the most beautiful I have ever seen. I was really impressed by the scenery.  

We enjoyed marine sports every day.

Of course, we also enjoyed Hawaiian food.  We went to super market every day. Every food are big and colorful in super market. It was fun for me to look a lot of things in supermarket.

And I thought Hawaii is ice cream heaven. I like ice cream very much. There are a lot of kind of ice cream in Hawaii. I tried to eat many kinds of ice cream every day.

 Haagen-Dazs are inexpensive in Hawaii. I could eat Haagen-Dazs about one dollar around, but  Ben and Jerry's is  my most favorite ice cream in Hawaii. I hope I can eat it in japan.

We also eat Hawaiian traditional food. 

I like poke. Poke is a raw fish salad served as an appetizer. It tastes like tekka don.

I thought Hawaiian food similar to Japanese food and  suit Japanese taste. I have ever been to go three countries so far, but it was the first time that food suits for my taste in abroad.

We went to Eggs'n things. 

Eggs'n things is famous pancake restaurant in Hawaii. Pancake was very delicious, but they serve big portions. So I recommend to divide one dish between the two.

I wanted to go more restaurant, but I had no time. I want to go cheese cake factory next time. If you have chance, please visit to Hawaii. You will be attracted to many things in Hawaii.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away

I'm from Aomori.

Aomori is famous for apple producing area.

My mother send me a lot of apples every autumn seasons. My mother send me thirty apples this year. Of course I like apple, but sometimes I get tired of eat just an apple.So, I introduce how to make apple sweets today.

☆Quick apple cake☆

-Ingredients-
☆two apples
☆two table spoons of lemon juice
☆three or four table spoons of sugar
☆200ml water
★one egg
★150ml milk
★200ｇram hotcake mix



1, Make apple compote. In a large saucepan, combine the water, sugar, lemon juice, water, and the apples. 

2, Boil gently until the apples are very tender about 20 minutes.

3, Mix up hotcake mix, milk and egg.

4, Slice apple compote and spread them in rice cooker pot.

5, pour dough into the rice cooker pot.

6, Place the pot into the rice cooker. And press the switch turn it on.

7, it's ready to eat!

It is the best season to eat apples in November to January. Let's go to supermarket and buy apples from Aomori. It tastes really good.An apple a day keeps the doctor away!

There are many restaurants near KUIS. I would like to introduce my favorite three restaurants today.

1, Ramen kai

Ramen kai is near to ito yokado. It is about ten minutes walk from KUIS to Ramen Kai.

All menus are reasonable prices. For example, Kai Ramen is 730yen.  Of course ramen is so delicious, but I highly recommend to eat set lunch. There are many kinｄs of set lunch menu.

Fried vegetable and pork  （肉野菜炒め定食）５８０yen

Chicken with chili sauce and cheese（鶏チ リチーズ定食）６５０yen

Set lunches are inexpensive and hearty. Most of people leave a part of meal, but don't worry. you can take out leftovers.

2, Dohton Bori

Dohton Bori is restaurant chain. Dohton Bori was opend near to KUIS  in october 2011. I went to Dohton Bori with my friends a few weeks ago.

We ordered snack monjya with ramen snack and  monjya with cheese and rice cake and gyoza.

Monjya with ramen snack(スナックラーメンもんじゃ） 399yen

Gyoza 550yen

Monjya with cheese and rice cake（インドもちチーズもんじゃ）840yen

 Dohton Bori menus are reasonable prices and delicious.

 

We really enjoyed making and eating monjya.

3, Yakiniku Musashi

Yakiniku Musashi is near to Don Quijote. Quality of meat is so good, but the prices are expensive.

So, you should go to Musahi at Lunch time(from 11:30am to ?pm). you can enjoy delicious yakiniku at reasonable price.

Donuts!Donuts!Donuts!

I felt like donuts when I was watching the Simpsons. So, today's my blog theme is donuts.

 I sometimes go to mister donut. There are many kinds of donuts. I tried to eat many kinds of donuts so far. All of them were delicious.

Of course I like decorated donuts, but  my most  favorite donuts is old fashion. Old fashion is very simple donuts. It is standard donuts in Mr,donut.

Old fashion is 126yen.

This is green tea chocolate old fashion. This was sold for 2007 only. I want to eat this again.

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is okay. It is much sweet for me, but it looks so cute.

I intended to go to Mister donut today,  but it was cold. I don't want to go outside. I wanted to stay at home.

There are no meanings of this picture.

I gave up to go to Mister donut. Instead of going there, I decide to make donuts by myself at home.

Ingredients
*200 gram hot cake mix
*one or two table spoon milk
*one or two table spoon butter(margarine)
*one egg

*Step1
mix up all ingredients until the dough no longer sticks to the bowl. 

*Step2
Roll the dough to 1 centimeters thickness. Use a floured donut cutter to cut donut shapes out of the dough.

*Step3 Heat the oil to 170 degrees F. Fry the donuts in the hot oil until donuts become golden brown on both sides, about 2 minutes per side.

*Step 4 Dust donuts with powder sugar.

It looks so sweet, but this donuts are lightly sweetened

This donuts can make within 30 minutes. Freshly cooked donuts are so delicious. If you have time, please try to make it!
